This switch is equipped with 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, 4 of which are PoE ports capable of delivering up to 60W of total PoE budget. The GS1005HP can easily connect to PoE tools on your network with plug-and-play design while providing energy-saving benefits without compromising performance. The GS1005HP fills a longstanding gap in the market for unmanaged PoE switches, has a high power budget and is affordable for SOHOs and small businesses.

The switch has a total power budget of 60W and features a handy LED indicator that shows orange when the 50W threshold is reached. If the power consumption exceeds the budget, the last device will be automatically removed without affecting the other devices powered by the switch. Expand your network without disrupting your quiet business environment. This switch features a fanless design that ensures quiet operation and greater reliability over time with no moving parts to fail.

    What is a network switch?

A switch is a handy device for making multiple connections from one wired network connection. Ideal right? This all happens without data loss. A switch can be compared to a power strip, the principle is the same. With a network switch, one port is used to access the internet. The remaining ports are then provided with internet. If you buy a 16 port switch, you create 15 extra internet outputs.

    Which switch do I need?

If you want to buy a switch, first check how many devices you will connect to the switch. Keep in mind that 1 port on the switch will be lost to the internet. If you want to connect 5 devices to a switch, you need at least an 8-port switch. It is also useful to know what internet speed you have at home. If you have a network between 0 - 100 Mbps, an Ethernet switch is sufficient. Everything above that requires a Gigabit switch. Do you want to be well prepared for the future? Then we always recommend a Gigabit switch.
